Data-driven Safety Argumentation Expert - SOTIF / Monte Carlo / ISO Standards

We are currently partnered with a world-leading research center in Germany working on cutting-edge next-generation projects within AD / ADAS. The team is looking to expand their headcount with a Data-driven Safety Argumentation Expert.
Responsibilities :
- Foster an innovation-driven mindset to explore new approaches for achieving safety goals, pushing the boundaries of AI-based safety and challenging the state-of-the-art.
- Develop SOTIF safety argumentation concepts using statistical methods and probabilistic frameworks.
- Extract and analyze real-world data to generate safety evidence that supports safety argumentation.
- Derive effective Verification and Validation (V&V) measures and requirements for data collection to strengthen data-driven safety arguments.
- Stay informed on industry standards, regulations, trends, and best practices, sharing key insights influencing our ADS solutions.
Qualifications :
MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience in automotive system / software safety engineering.Extensive experience in data analytics, statistical methods, and probabilistic frameworks.Proficiency in Bayesian methods, Monte Carlo simulations, sensitivity analysis, or similar approaches.Practical experience in automotive safety engineering, including defining safety concepts and working with ISO 26262, ISO 21448, and safety analysis methods such as HAZOP, HARA, FMEA, FTA, and STPA, as well as scenario-based verification and residual risk quantification.If you are interested in this Data-driven Safety Argumentation Expert position, please send a CV to [email protected]
