Rubber Material and Seal Expert (d / f / m)

Thermal management products are key enabler of the mobility electrification in terms of efficiency, range, and safety for xHEV and BEV applications. Our portfolio offers solutions on component as well as highly integrated thermal management system level. Our team is developing products for all our key markets and customers around the world.

The Rubber Material & Seal Expert (d / f / m) is globally responsible for the function of rubber seal products in vehicle applications within the Product line Thermal Management.

Your new responsibilities :

Determining functional requirements for sealing system and transfer into product development considering manufacturing and cost targets

Development and definition of Rubber Seals and sealing concepts

Providing product expertise for production line launch and technical support to customers during product launch

Problem solving for quality issues with products in production

Complying with Vitesco Technologies development systems (Product Development Cycle, DFSS, etc), including necessary documentation

Implementing practical engineering solutions to solve diverse technical problems

Internal & external product presentations

Your profile :

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics & Elastomers technology, or comparable qualification

Long-term professional experience in the area of Elastomers processes and technologies

Strong know-how in chemical constitution of elastomers, in analytical methods of rubber material and rubber seals and in tool design

Understanding of influence factors of compound and process to product function, incl. supply chain

Fluent English skills, written and spoken. German skills are of advantage

Willingness to travel (~ 30 %, international business trips)

Analytical thinking, assertiveness, and good communication skills

Strong presentation skills as well as the ability to work in global project teams as product expert
