Job Description
Purpose :
Your role as Public Relations manager in our team is critical to helping us build and manage Omio’s reputation with consumer, business and trade media. This role involves creating press releases, managing PR activations, and maintaining media relationships. Working closely with the Head of Communications and the social media team, you stay ahead of social and consumer trends, create PR tactics, manage our agencies and share our success via reporting and presentations. We seek a self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude to take on this exciting role.
Main tasks and responsibilities :
Collaborate with the VP of Brand & Communications and Head of Communications in devising and implementing the PR strategy as a link between the media, our international agency network and internal stakeholders.
Develop and distribute communication materials for the media, such as press releases, statements, talking points, proactive pitches, data pitches, and consumer insight reports, in English and various languages.
Support the Head of Communications by ensuring the production of effective PR tactics for earned and owned media and collaborating with the agencies and the social media team to craft and pitch impactful narratives.
Work with our data and user research team to extract valuable customer insights from our travel data and create compelling data-driven stories for PR and social media.
Establish and nurture relationships with local, domestic, and international journalists across various media.
Manage the press room, devise strategies and tools to enhance media visibility, monitor results, and provide feedback on media needs.
Communicate insights and successes to our stakeholders through newsletters and reporting.
Stay on top of consumer and social media trends and manage our PR content calendar.
Create and supervise the Omio-travel experiences for journalists and VIPs
Qualifications
Strong communication skills
Outstanding writing skills in English and German are a plus
Interest in culture trends, social media trends, industry and travel news to help determine key storytelling moments for Omio
Experience working within or in tandem with a social media team
Experience and knowledge of SEO, digital PR and content growth strategies is highly appreciated
Organisational and project management skills and the ability to collaborate with peers to launch new initiatives and establish processes
Experience with extracting and analysing data into compelling stories
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, PR, communications, or a related field
A minimum of 3 years of experience working in public relations, communications, or associated fields in a hands-on capacity
Experience in establishing and steering stakeholder processes collaboratively and effectively
Knowledgeable of new developments in communication, analytics and reporting
