We are looking to fill the position of Sales and Business Development for our client Furukawa Electric Co. Ltd with a fulltime permanent team member. Furukawa is a world market leader in technologically leading and highly developed products. Furukawa Electric Europe Limited (FEEL) was established as a subsidiary of Furukawa Electric Co. Ltd. Japan in 1998 and its principal activities are the sales and distribution of technology products in several industrial sectors and most notably semiconductors telecoms electronics automotive infrastructure energy and medical. FEEL has responsibility for EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa) territories.

Tasks

Your Responsibilities

  • Existing and new business activities of a technical product for the semiconductor industry within the EMEAregion
  • Development of new sales opportunities through trade fairs visits and personal research incl. frequent visits to clients
  • Working mainly from our office near Dusseldorf
  • Relevant market analysis in order to determine current and future trends
  • Close collaboration with the teams in the Dsseldorf and London offices
  • Daily communication with head office and production sites in Japan
  • Organising and leading weekly meetings with teams in Japan regarding technical and commercial tasks
  • Budget and reporting responsibilities

Requirements

What we are looking for

  • Experiences in B2B sales activities and in the semiconductor industry ideally with engineering background.
  • Ability to familiarise yourself quickly with complex technical products and customer processes
  • Fluency in spoken and written German and English is a key requirement
  • Additional language skills (e.g. Japanese Italian French) are an advantage
  • You live in the vicinity of the Dsseldorf area
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within the EMEA region and to Japan with a valid passport for international travel
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with MS Office
  • Class B driving license
