Salary : In line with IG Metall tariff.

Our customer is an engineering business with strong foundations within a number of different industry sectors and they are currently on a journey to build out their automation engineering department.

Part of this growth is to hire two more PLC programmers to join their small team of circa ten programmers. They currently have a PLC library of templates which they are looking to further build out however they are looking for individuals who can write code from scratch, primarily in structured text language for Siemens Tia Portal / WinCC applications. This person will then follow their programs through pre-commissioning and site commissioning at customer sites.

What will you need to be considered?

• Ideally educated to degree level in an engineering discipline.
• Proven experience using Siemens Tia Portal / WinCC, and developing code in structured text (ST), Ladder or function block languages.
• Willingness to travel globally up to 50% of the time.
• Wider mechatronics or engineering skill set where you can support mechanical / electrical issues at site.
• Independent speaker of the German and English languages.
• European passport or permanent resident in Germany.
