Your Tasks
- Ensure compliance with key regulatory frameworks, including The German Water Resources Act, Asbestos regulations, and Hazardous material management.
- Conduct HSE audits and inspections to assess compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Perform risk assessments, including those for hazardous substances, water management, and asbestos-related activities.
- Provide technical expertise in hazardous materials handling, emergency response planning, and incident investigations.
- Maintain and update HAZMAT catalogs, Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), COSHH assessments, and operating instructions for hazardous substances.
- Support waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
- Monitor developments in German, EU, and international HSE regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external regulatory bodies on HSE matters.
- Deliver HSE training and workshops to improve awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to enhance safety performance.
Your Profile
A Degree in engineering, environmental sciences, chemistry, occupational health, or a related field.You are a certified "Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit" (SiFa).Familiarity with German and EU regulations, including TRGS, and REACH / COSHH standards.Experience as an Asbestos Coordinator or equivalent asbestos management role is highly desirable.Knowledge of ISO standards, particularly ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001, is advantageous.Proven expertise in hazardous materials management and asbestos-related compliance.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Effective communication skills, fluent in German and English (written and spoken).Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE management systems.Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 30%).Become a Voithian and join us to shape the future of our company.
