Solutions Engineer (f/m/d)
Your Role
Joining us on the Solution Engineer position, you will be responsible for the technical design activity, as a part of customer focused commercial opportunities.
The role will closely interface with Sales, Engineering and Operations departments to ensure solutions are successfully transitioned.
You will support multiple sales efforts at various stages.
The Solution Engineer provides pre-sales technical support to ensure that solutions align with customer requirements and provide maximum value to the parties.
You will act as the technical face of Digital Realty who understand the business, operational and technical requirements of customers, while presenting solutions and considering opportunities for up-sell, geographical cross-sell or unlocking strategical value.
You will reach your goals by building strong working relationships with colleagues both within country, region and across the globe, whilst being the primary technical interface between the functions involved in supporting our customers.
What you'll need
- Bachelor level (. Degree in science, engineering or related discipline or equivalent) + experience in the Data Centre sector or telecommunications for at least 3-5 years
- Experience of managing business critical infrastructure; data center environment awareness
- Ability to present complex technical solutions in a simplified manner and translate customer needs into specific, deliverable requirements.
- Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service to clients and co-workers.
- Customer centricity and natural drive to work with other areas of the business, to provide the customer with best possible outcome
- Collaboration : Is a true Team player that connects people and unites them to do the right things for our customers (without the authority to instruct them to do so)
- Experience of using tools such as Salesforce, AutoCAD is beneficial
- ITIL or PMI certification is desirable but not required
- Fluent in English, with German highly preferred
