The Ferdinand-Braun-Institut Leibniz-Institut für Höchstfrequenztechnik (FBH) is an application-oriented research institution in the fields of high-frequency electronics photonics and quantum physics. Electronic and optical components modules and systems based on compound semiconductors are being investigated at FBH. These are key components for innovations in the areas of communication energy health and mobility which are essential to society. FBH covers the entire value chain from design to ready-to-deliver systems.
The Joint Lab Diamond Nanophotonics between FBH and the Integrated Quantum Photonics Working Group at Humboldt University Berlin is investigating novel concepts for guiding detecting and manipulating light in the nano and micro range. The aim is to achieve controllable light-matter interaction in order to efficiently couple quantum memories in diamond with individual light particles (photons).
