About the role
The Medical Referral Coordinator manages the medical referral process by identifying needs for further higher-level care and admission of medically eligible patients. Utilize Milliman guidelines and / or other
healthcare industry-accepted criteria for writing referrals and comply with referral management protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains a highly level of professionalism dealing with stakeholders and team.
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA & OSHA standards, as well as all office policies and protocols.
- Works with clinical providers to establish medical referrals for specialty care not available on ROB
- Manages the entire referral process and assist patients with scheduling emergency and urgent care according to insurance plan.
- Coordinates with Department of State Representatives when necessary.
- Performing administrative duties including, answering incoming calls and responding to all messages.
- Providing excellent customer service responding to patient inquiries promptly and accurately.
- Active participation in day-to-day office activities, including a variety of meetings and task force groups to improve procedural processes, obtain approvals, and remain abreast of new developments and policy requirements and regulations.
- Active participation in Mass Casualty exercises and events.
- Other duties or tasks as needed.

Work is normally performed in a typical interior / office work environment.Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.Other Special Qualifications :
On call requirements as part of a rotation if required.Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate.Must be able to relocate to Germany for duration of the contractA valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation.
