The client creates and supplies crop protection products used by farmers globally, making their operations more economical and ultimately helping to secure an affordable food supply. Operating in key agricultural regions, including North America, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and Europe, they maintain manufacturing facilities that ensure the quality and competitiveness of their products. Their focus on efficiency spans across active ingredient sourcing, supply chain, formulations, production, development, regulatory affairs, and sales support. They also have an Innovation Platform for novel products, including a recently launched Wheat Protection System in the US.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement the company’s EU regulatory strategy to ensure timely product registrations that align with commercial objectives.
Oversee the preparation and maintenance of regulatory submissions for new and existing products.
Represent the company in trade associations and active ingredient task forces.
Build and maintain relationships with industry contacts, regulators, and official bodies to facilitate efficient regulatory processes.
Collaborate with the Technical Manager and other business functions to ensure awareness of EU regulatory requirements and improve business planning and forecasting.
Candidate Profile :
Qualifications : Degree / Masters in Biological or Physical Sciences, Chemistry, or Agronomy.
Experience : At least 5 years of regulatory experience in the European plant protection industry, including local and EU-level registrations. Product development experience is advantageous.
Languages : Fluent English (written and spoken) and a native level of German
Skills : Excellent communication, high scientific credibility, strong negotiating and business awareness skills, and high ethical standards.
Social Skills : Team player, well-organized, efficient, and able to build strong working relationships both internally and externally.
Personal Characteristics : Driven, self-starting, motivated, culturally sensitive, achievement-oriented, and flexible with working hours and travel requirements.
