Strategy & Operations Manager, Fleets
Job Description
Global Delivery Operations is a central team collaborating with our Regional Operations teams by driving our long-term operations strategy and operating model development.
We work closely with our regional operations teams, general management and key functional leaders across dimensions such as Product and Analytics, and drive forward company-wide projects with high strategic importance.
This role is focused on 3rd party fleet strategy as part of our courier operations. 3rd party fleets or fleet Managers are our partners managing a larger pool of couriers as opposed to Wolt partnering directly with individual courier partners.
Fleets are an essential source of courier supply for Wolt and they also provide opportunities to supply optimization within weekly and daily levels.
This role will be in charge of taking our fleet model to the next level starting with defining the strategy for use of fleets in the future and the optimal operating model for fleet collaboration to support strategy execution.
Your role is to define our strategy and approach to using Fleet partners in any given country. We currently operate in 27+ markets, so this role will offer you an interesting challenge to solve at scale! You will be working closely with our central and local teams.
This role benefits from Strategic mindset, bias for action, and good internal and external stakeholder management skills.
Concretely you could be working with for example :
Strategy : Defining our approach to using fleets in any given country including cost modeling. Whether this is to secure Fleet courier supply availability or more tactically control supply on intraday level
Operating model : Defining how we work with fleets including e.g. performance improvement, account management, cost modelling and compliance
Product collaboration and roll-out support : Defining and prioritising new Product development requirements to support our fleet strategy and driving the roll-out and adoption of these features
Creating new insights through analytics and ensuring our data infrastructure supports the analytics needs in this area
Regional and global collaboration : harmonising our processes, reporting, and standards. Facilitating the dialogue between legal / compliance and regional operations
In practice this would mean starting with understanding the current fleet partner usage across our markets as a starting point for creating the strategy and vision.
Essential part of the strategy work is benefit and cost modelling to come up with relevant region specific recommendations for the use of fleets.
The following steps would focus on really making it all happen through operating model design and working together with the regions on implementation (e.
g. negotiations with fleets on SLAs).
We offer you the potential to explore various parts of our business, and grow professionally with the company. As Wolt is a global company, traveling in this role is expected.
