Payroll Specialist - Frankfurt (Hybrid - 2 days in office) - Banking & Finance - up to £80k base + 10% bonus.

Annapurna are proud to be working with one of the biggest banks worldwide, assisting in finding a new Payroll Specialist based in Frankfurt.

You will take responsibility for managing all payroll-related activities throughout their branches in Germany. Your duties will involve ensuring precise and punctual payments, maintaining rigorous controls, and providing comprehensive reporting.

This encompasses handling daily payroll operations, scrutinizing payroll processes, facilitating manual payments, and overseeing pertinent projects.

What will your responsibilities entail?

  • Ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, including payroll-related services for assigned personnel in Germany, adhering to local tax and social security regulations
  • Overseeing the day-to-day management of German payroll suppliers and ensuring proper accounting practices
  • Taking accountability for the punctual disbursement of salaries, managing payment system access, and reconciling accounts in collaboration with Finance teams
  • Taking the lead on local company pension duties, such as liaising with external actuarial support and integrating payments into the local payroll
  • Facilitating communication and information exchange with the international payroll team across borders
  • Monitoring changes in internal and external payroll policies, standards, and local legislation
  • Managing multiple external payroll auditors to ensure favorable outcomes for all German branches of Barclays

What qualifications are we seeking?

  • Previous experience in German payroll administration, including knowledge of German income taxes and social security regulations
  • Proficiency in HR systems such as Datev / Lodas, SAP HR / HCM, Success Factors (or equivalent), and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to effectively handle a high volume of tasks and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with adaptability
  • Experience in managing third-party vendors or external suppliers
