BESS Project Delivery Manager

Key Responsibilities :

Project Delivery Management :

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of BESS projects, ensuring timely, budget-compliant, and quality completion.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee all project phases, from initial design and permitting to construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Ensure alignment of project objectives with organisational goals.

Construction & Engineering Oversight :

• Provide leadership and technical guidance during the construction and engineering phases.
• Ensure all engineering designs meet local regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
• Work closely with construction teams to manage on-site activities, including civil, electrical, and mechanical works.
• Coordinate with engineers to resolve technical challenges and optimise project execution.

Development Involvement :

• Support the project development team in site selection, feasibility analysis, and technical assessments.
• Contribute to the preparation of permits and regulatory approvals, providing engineering and construction insights.
• Participate in refining project designs to enhance efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

Stakeholder and Client Management :

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project goals.
• Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders, including utilities and regulatory authorities.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring favourable terms and conditions.

Quality and Risk Management :

• Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure project deliverable meet required standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and reviews to maintain compliance with project specifications and safety protocols.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications : Education :

Education :

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or additional certifications in project management or renewable energy is a plus.

Experience :

• 5-8 years of experience in project management, with a focus on construction and engineering in the renewable energy sector.
• Demonstrated experience in managing BESS projects, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Experience with project development processes, including permitting and regulatory compliance.

Technical Skills :

• Deep understanding of BESS technology, including design, engineering, and construction principles.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and engineering design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PVSyst).
• Knowledge of local construction regulations and safety standards in Germany and EU

Language Skills :

• Fluency in English.
• Proficiency in any European languages is highly desirable.
