The Cinema for Peace Foundation is looking for social media and performance marketing volunteers to join our team in Berlin.
Since 9 / 11 the Cinema for Peace initiative has been focusing on the perception and resolution of global social, political, and humanitarian challenges. We are an international non-profit organization with the goal to foster change through film. We promote films and members of the film community who try to make a difference. In recent years Cinema for Peace has supported humanitarian causes with the likes of Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman, and public figures such as the Dalai Lama, Muhammad Ali, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Mikhail Gorbachev, and the former Honorary Patron Nelson Mandela.
Currently, the foundation uses Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and we are looking for someone to help improve the reach and visibility of the foundation through these platforms. Your main task would be utilizing social media to promote the foundation and the humanitarian work we do.
Tasks :
- Content : Come up with ideas for social media content fitting with Cinema for Peace values and current affairs. A knowledge of politics or humanitarian issues is useful.
- Design : Create, post, and report on social media content across all platforms. Currently, we use Canva for designing posts, but we are open to different programs to make content.
- Strategy : Design and present a strategy on how to grow followers and engagement on our platforms.
- Promotion : Understand and implement a strategy for using social media for promotional purposes, especially in regards to paid advertisement.
- Communication : use social media to reach out to individuals / organizations to create new relationships and contacts.
- Fundraising : An understanding of how social media can be used to raise funds for the foundation
Requirements :
Previous work experience and / or a background in media, graphic design or marketingAn interest in politics, humanitarian issues, and global affairsExcellent written and spoken fluency in English is required. Other languages, especially German, are an advantage.In-depth knowledge of how each platform operates and how to utilize it most effectively. An ability to see performance data and a plan on how to improve it.We prefer a candidate who is able to work from our office in Berlin but are also open to remote workers as well (CET or UK time)Proactive, ability to think outside the box, willingness to go the extra mile, and a problem-solving attitude.What you get from us
Cinema for Peace is a unique organization that raises awareness for and aims to solve, human rights issues through film. Working for the foundation provides a chance to utilize and explore your interest in both film and global affairs for the greater good.This volunteer position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 9 : 00 to 18 : 00, and remuneration for this is 520 euros + BVG ticket per month.The volunteer position is a three-month contract with the possibility of being hired at the end of the contract.Application
