Unimacts is seeking a Finance / Accounting Manager to strengthen our financial operations across the EU. Our team members are versatile "industrial business athletes." In this role, you'll not only lead but also actively contribute to shaping and streamlining financial operations in Germany and Spain, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and alignment with our global growth strategy.
The Cuxhaven location is growing very rapidly and will be building a new 10,000 m2 facility very soon. This position will have a significant impact on success of the operations and will grow along with the business.
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Management : Oversee all financial operations in Germany and Spain, ensuring compliance with local laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Accounting Operations : Manage end-to-end accounting processes, including general ledger, accounts payable / receivable, payroll, and tax filings. Support migration from QuickBooks to Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Budgeting and Forecasting : Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support decision-making.
- Reporting : Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial statements and management reports to the CFO.
- Audit and Compliance : Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with EU and local regulatory standards.
- Cost Control : Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Collaboration : Work closely with local teams in Germany and Spain to provide financial support and insights.
- Travel : Occasionally travel to Cuxhaven and Spain to support on-site financial operations and team collaboration.
Requirements
Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.Experience : Minimum of 7 years in finance / accounting roles, with experience in multinational operations. Experience in a manufacturing environment is mandatory. Cost accounting experience highly preferred. Prior experience in Germany and Spain is a plus.Technical Proficiency : Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB), IFRS, and local tax regulations. Familiarity with Spanish financial regulations is advantageous.Language Skills : Fluency in German and English is required. Spanish proficiency is a plus.Analytical Skills : Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.Leadership : Proven ability to manage teams and collaborate across functions.Travel Flexibility : Ability to travel as required to support operations in Cuxhaven, Germany and Leon, Spain.
