Regulatory Affairs Specialist - REACH Compliance (m / f / x)

Location : Wesel near Düsseldorf

Responsibilities

Exciting tasks await you - join our team and take on the opportunity to ensure REACH compliance of our products in order to secure the right to manufacture and import chemical substances in the EU and other regions where REACH-like regulation is adopted (UK, Turkey, Eurasia etc.). Specifically, you will :

  • Support and promote BYK’s sourcing and production strategy with relevant parties
  • Communicate consistent and compliant information to BYK customers and internal parties
  • Assess and provide REACH OR services to support the business
  • Communicate with external consultants and services
  • Work closely with R&D on NPD to ensure all regulatory aspects are met
  • Interact with national and international committees, industrial trade associations, agencies as well as governmental organizations on behalf of BYK

Requirements

With this profile, you convince us - with a strong academic background in natural sciences (e.g., chemistry, toxicology or similar), preferably enhanced by a PhD, and profound experience in REACH, you are well-equipped to navigate complex regulatory landscapes. Additionally, you bring :

  • Profound professional experience in the field of REACH
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IUCLID, and ideally SAP knowledge
  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills are an advantage
  • Excellent communication and (re)presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities
  • The ability to work well in an international environment, both independently and as part of a multi-functional team
  • A self-starter who seeks solutions to complex issues
  • Strong sense of confidentiality
