Position
Training at the European Astronaut Centre (EAC), for the International Space Station (ISS) Astronauts and Ground Controllers, is implemented using simulators and mock ups of the Columbus module, its payloads and other parts of ISS. The Simulator Operator supports all operations, maintenance and upgrade of the simulators and mock-ups in close coordination with the training community at EAC.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Astronaut and Ground Support personnel training, involving the ISS and Columbus simulators, in association with the trainers and simulation directors
Local maintenance tasks, backups and software installations on the simulators in coordination with the simulator maintenance team
Skills and Experience
Adhere to strict standards of confidentiality
Considered as Assets
Human space flight mission operations, with an emphasis on ISS and Columbus operations, e.g. former certified flight / ground controller or console support person
