Your mission

  • Take our existing cell and improve it in all dimensions.
  • Develop and iterate the necessary process steps for its production.
  • Lead the journey to industrialization and scaling in close cooperation with the

operations team.

  • Build and develop the battery tech team across multiple sites
  • Collaborate closely with technology and development partners, as well as suppliers

    • and equipment manufacturers.

  • Manage multiple joint development agreements across multiple geographies in sync

    • with our commercial unit.

  • Report transparently against development milestones to the C-level, investors,

    • customers.

  • File patents, grow our portfolio on core technology and application level.
  • Enable and continuously improve knowledge sharing across the various teams.
  • Travel regularly to partners, suppliers, testing facilities. You will be based in the core

    • lab in Munich, while our commercial headquarters are based in Stockholm. But you

    need to be flexible to move to another location once we build a pilot production site.

    Your profile

  • Strong Masters or Ph.D. in electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, or related fields.
  • 10+ years of experience in developing several battery cell generations from scratch

    • with actual hands-on experience across all process steps.

  • 10+ years of experience in scaling a battery cell to full production volume with proven

    • low scrap rates and high uptime.

  • Worked intensively with solid-state architectures and battery chemistries not involving

    • Lithium.

  • Good command of the entire value chain and production process, with a strong focus

    • on testing and feedback.

  • Accustomed to modeling of Slurry-formulas vs. cell KPI dependencies.
  • Ideally worked with license models as customer and / or provider before and dealt with

    • screen printing in the past.
