Job DetailsPosted : 9 days agoSector : Commercial Shipping , Shore-based Shipping & MaritimeLocation : HamburgJob Ref : 664652BJob Type : Permanent Salary : CompetitiveExpiry Date : 14 February 2025Contact Email : [email protected] Description Faststream is currently searching for a dry bulk Operations Manager to join a reputable and expanding ship owner / operator in Hamburg.Role Overview : Location : Hamburg, GermanyFocus : Overseeing daily dry bulk vessel operations, ensuring smooth and profitable voyages for a global fleet.Key Responsibilities : Operations Management : Handle operational aspects of Handy to Supramax and Ultramax vessels, with a strong focus on geared vessels equipped with cranes.Oversee voyage planning, hold cleaning, laytime calculations, and demurrage claims.Manage end-to-end P&L including invoicing, hire and freight payments, and performance claims. Cargo Handling : Coordinate the loading and unloading of grain, minerals, and logs across various ports.Ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company and industry standards. Data Management & Reporting : Utilise IMOS software to streamline operations and maintain accurate records.Track and report on KPIs, financial outcomes, and vessel performance to senior management.Qualifications & Skills : Strong previous experience in dry bulk operations, ideally with Handy, Supramax, or Ultramax geared vessels.Proficiency in IMOS software is essential.Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to operations.Fluent in English; proficiency in German or Spanish is advantageous.Must have the right to work in Europe (Schengen).
