Your role

  • Develop and implement plans to promote the EMBL teacher training programme across Member States.
  • Support the development of local teacher networks and training programmes.
  • Build relationships with educational and research institutions to expand the programme's network.
  • Liaising with schools and out-of-school programmes from European countries.
  • Utilise social media, email campaigns, webinars, and partnerships to increase programme visibility.
  • Assist in managing the teacher training programme, as well as content development and event logistics.
  • Organise meetings, maintain databases, and prepare presentations and reports.

  • You have

  • A degree in communications, public relations, business administration or a related field.
  • 1-3 years' experience in outreach or public relations, preferably in education or a related field.
  • Proven experience in creating compelling promotional content, including blogs, social media posts and promotional materials
  • Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with educational institutions, organisations and other stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A service-oriented, friendly nature and a can-do attitude
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • You might also have

  • Understanding of different cultures and education systems across Europe to tailor outreach efforts accordingly
  • Experience of working with schools and teachers
  • Experience of working in a cultural, academic or international environment
  • An interest in the life sciences
  • Fluency in several European languages may be an advantage
