For our esteemed client in the hydropower technology sector, we are looking for a
CFD Engineer (m / f / d) for the location in Heidenheim.

You´ll be part of a highly specialized team of experts in simulation, measurement technology, hydraulic design, and structural analysis, working on innovative projects that power renewable energy worldwide.
Your tasks :
- Preparation, execution, and evaluation of numerical flow simulations (CFD) in the field of hydraulic turbomachinery
- Enhancement and quality improvement of an existing structured in-house meshing tool for turbomachinery blade geometries in hydraulic machines
- Identification of weaknesses in the existing meshing procedure and improvement regarding functionality, stability, and quality
- Application of numerical optimization methods, consideration of geometry information, and modification of the mesher code accordingly
- Comparison of mesh quality generated by the in-house mesher with results achieved through commercial alternatives
- Cross-disciplinary collaboration with experts in simulation, measurement technology, hydraulic design, and structural analysis
Your qualification :
Academic degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Process Engineering, Computational Engineering Sciences, or comparable fieldProven experience with structured meshing of turbomachinery bladesExperience in application of flow solvers, ideally ANSYS CFXProficiency in a programming language, ideally C++Specific experience with CGNS and / or B-Spline libraries is a significant advantageTeam player with the ability to work independently, in a structured and goal-oriented manner
Fluent English (C2 level) in written and spoken form is mandatory, German language skills are a plusWe offer you :
