Danaheris seeking a Regional Leader, Europe (f / m / d) forits Labor and Employee Relations (LER) Center of Excellence who isresponsible for driving our LER COE mission in Europe :   To transform the way labor and employee relationsservices are provided – with fairness, expertise, experience,efficiency and professionalism. The Regional Leader must be able todo so in a process-oriented function, with intentional governance,roles, and responsibilities, that relies on data-based decisionsaround continuous improvement and deployment.

The LER COE Regional Leader for Europe willalso provide creative and effective recommendations and solutionsfor challenging and sensitive labor and employee relations mattersthat support a positive and fair workplace culture consistent withDanaher’s Code of Conduct and Core Values.  This leader mustbe able to drive our functional strategy and operational solutionsand build strong relationships in order to advise and influencestakeholders across the region - including employee representativessuch as unions and works councils.  A nuanced understanding oflabor relations, including as to various employee representativestructures, and constructive and effective management of suchrelationships is essential.

This position ispart of the Labor & Employee Relations function within theHuman Resources function and will be remote based.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities :

  • Delivercore labor and employee relations services effectively andefficiently to across all Operating Companies in a matrixedenvironment.
  • Ensure the LER COE EU teammeets operational, quality, and service level requirements withincore LER COE Pillars, including investigations, individual andgroup separations and performancemanagement.
  • Build and develop positive andpartnering culture with employee representative bodies and play akey and influencing role in critical exchanges with group-levelemployee representative structures for Danaher to achieve businessperformance, employee engagement and legalcompliance.
  • Serve as escalation point regardingEurope LER issues by leveraging deep technical knowledge to provideguidance and recommendations in sensitive and complex LER mattersconsistent with company policies and core values in support ofdesired workplace culture.
  • Analyze casedata to improve LER service efficiencies, identify trends, solveproblems, and develop scalable best practices to promoteorganizational effectiveness in LER service delivery throughworkflows, process-oriented solutions, and effectively championingconsistent and sustained adoption of Standard Work and bestpractice tools by the EU LER COE, HR organization and otherstakeholders through leadership-influence, training and other methods.
  • Lead a team ofexperienced, professional LER Specialists, ensuring highperformance, talent development, and knowledge of a DanaherBusiness System (DBS) mentality.
  • Liaise withDHR L&E Legal Team resources as required.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’sDegree in Business, Human Resources, or another relatedfield
  • 7+ years of labor and employee relationsexperience in Europe with substantial responsibility in leading avariety of complex LER issues to conclusion including HumanResources investigations; individual separations for performance,misconduct, or the like; performance management, including performance-improvement plans, and otherdisciplinary action; and reductions-in-force, restructuring basedseparations, and mass dismissals and restructuring; responsibilityfor managing employee representative relationship(s) at factorylevel and also at a group level
  • 5+ years ofmanagement / people leader experience (with experience leadingremote, multi-country teams)
  • Extensiveknowledge of key labor and employment laws in the region and laborand employee relations landscape
  • Proven trackrecord for developing, improving, executing and scaling LERprograms and solutions and for managing and measuring programeffectiveness and customersatisfaction
  • Itwould be a plus if you also possess previous experiencein :

  • Law degree within-house experience supporting LER / HRwork
  • Experience preparing and presenting LERtraining / educational materials to large HRaudiences
  • Experiences that demonstrate anability to function independently and effectively in a complex,matrixed organization
  • PhysicalDemands :

  • Able to travel 20%- 30% with physical activity associated with businesstravel
  • Include considerable amount of timesitting and typing / keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard,mouse, monitor)
  • May occasionally includewalking, bending, reaching, standing, andstooping
  • LI-Remote
