Your Role
Be the Functional Specialist / Lead for Solvency II application framework including RiskIntegrity, the application that Gen Re uses for the SCR calculation and QRT reporting. This includes the following tasks :
- Specify the necessary change and maintenance requests to adjust the data processes and / or RiskIntegrity due to changes in the source systems or changes in the standard by providing end to end support to translate these requirements into IT solutions
- Coordinate the implementation of new RiskIntegrity patches and releases including test approach
- Take the lead in case of system errors & aborts
- Coordinate and support the end-to-end test approach including definition of test cases and scenarios
- Support the actuaries and finance specialist in case results seem not to be reasonable
- Drive forward the development of an automated SII Closing Calendar and Process Control that is planned for the near future to make the SII closing process as efficient as possible
- Track data issues and satisfy ad hoc analysis requests
- Be the contact to IT, including Gen Re’s external service providers, as well as Finance for the SII system landscape including QlikView / Power BI Reporting
- Discuss / Support decisions on the technical concepts with IT representatives
For the IFRS and LDTI reporting :
Take over backup functionsSupport the process of identifying synergies between the processes of Gen Re’s various regulatory reporting obligations with the aim of simplifying and streamlining them.Your Profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, or finance preferredThe ideal candidate must be self-motivated and willing to quickly learn our financial applications and processes to become a subject matter expert in this area and should have also have technical knowledge around ETL and SQL.Experience with the regulatory requirements for Solvency II and ideally IFRS / LDTIAt least partially experience with the technical platforms used by Gen Re that are listed aboveKnowledge of Finance subledgers systems preferredExperience with writing SQL queries and reporting applications such as PowerBIConfident communicatorAbility to contribute to the team culture and successAttention to detail and continuous improvement mindsetWe offer you
