You can look forward to

  • Evaluating and developing reinsurance solutions for digital insurers
  • Assessing risks in light of actuarial / mathematical considerations
  • Making extensive pricing and margin calculations, including evaluating offers and negotiating acceptable terms and conditions
  • Cultivating, expanding and building viable customer relationships
  • Tracking and developing an understanding of new digital insurance trends to ensure Hannover Re's future readiness
  • Drawing up, checking and modifying reinsurance treaty documents and handling their administration

You come equipped with

  • Completed degree in (business / insurance) mathematics
  • Hands-on experience in the insurance or financial sector, obtained for example through internships or employment as a working student
  • Familiarity with the preparation of balance sheet analyses as well as with the application of balance sheet, supervisory and tax policies and procedures
  • Interest in technical, actuarial and economic issues
  • At least proficient user skills in English, knowledge of other languages is an asset
  • Willingness to travel worldwide on business, roughly three or four times a year
  • International mindset, negotiating skills, highly numbers-minded and enthusiasm for cementing our market position among the top reinsurers
  • High degree of self-reliance, flexibility and commitment, strong powers of communication, considerable capacity for strategic thinking, solution-driven working approach, team skills
