As the SeniorDirector of Commercial Legal at Staffbase, you will lead a highperforming, legal team supporting the global commercial function,as well as the broader legal team as it aims to scale and evolveinto a modern, best-in-class legal businessunit.
What you’ll bedoing
Overseethe execution of a high volume of revenue generating commercialtransactions and procurement activities in DACH, Northern EMEA, USAand APAC
Lead and develop ateam of commercial lawyers and paralegals in a high-velocityenvironment, across multiple jurisdictions and languages, with astrong focus on individuallearning
Report to theGeneral Counsel and be a strategic partner to Procurement, Sales,Sales Enablement, Deal Desk andFinance
Collaborateproactively with stakeholders on legal risks, strategy, compliance,and policy in relation to enterprise sales, procurement,operations, and businessgrowth
Negotiate and executeon complex, high-risk enterprise transactions and take a pragmaticposition on risk wherenecessary
Develop, manageand deliver legal operations projects to scale the business, usingthe latest tech tools and modern legal design thinking, e.g.playbooks, contract lifecycle management tools, legal front door,AI chatbots
With Legal Ops,create metrics for the legal team, collect and analyse data, andregularly report to the wider company with the objective ofoptimising legalresources.

8+ years ofcommercial legal experience in an in-house legal department, withat least 5 years in a B2B SaaScompany
Expertise inTechnology law, SaaS, Software licensing, IP and, Data Privacy andLegal Ops
Excellentconsultative, advisory and influencingskills
Demonstratedstrategic approach to long-term action planning andexecution
Experiencedeveloping and leading distributed teams in a complex environmentwith a high volume of matters and differentcultures
