The mission

OneLife is a Luxembourg life insurance company specialised in cross-border financial planning solutions for wealthy clients across Europe and beyond. To support our growth, we are looking for the right candidate to join our passionate IT development team.

The purpose of the Junior Software Engineer Trainee is to develop and to maintain our business applications. He is responsible for designing, developing reliable software and delivering projects on time and budget, under the supervision of a Senior Software Engineer. He is also responsible for the business support in relation with IT applications under the supervision of a Senior Software Engineer.

Main objectives of the role

• Code technical solutions
• Master the benefits of the various programming languages
• Master database concepts
• Respect and enforce coding and deployment standards
• Unit testing

Profile of our future teammate

• Hold a degree in Computer Sciences (Master, Engineer, Bachelor).
• Experience (>1 year) in Java development is required.
• Experience in React JS is an asset
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, …)
• As part of a multicultural company and team, a good knowledge of French and English (any other language is an asset) as well as good interpersonal and organizational skills
