The roughly 2, employees assigned to the Terminal & Infrastructure segment handle terminal-related activities and provide complementary logistics services at selected locations.
Responsibilities and tasks :
Within our Regional Transhipment Team, you will be in charge of ensuring efficient and timely connections of containers between vessels across key North European ports, including Hamburg, Rotterdam, Antwerp, and others.
Our team is organized into two groups of nine members each : one focused on German ports, and the other on Western European ports. We are a diverse group, with a mix of experienced professionals and fresh talent, bringing together international and German colleagues.
We're seeking excited individuals with a strong aptitude for organization and problem-solving to join our team.
Coordinate and plan transhipment connections between different ports
Assign the best routes and terminals to minimize costs and transit times
Deal with port call changes and adjust transhipment plans correspondingly
Ensure precise feeder schedule creation and compliance to Dangerous Goods rules
Monitor transhipment connections and address any issues promptly
Update cargo information in the system as needed
Create and submit feeder work orders to vendors
Requirements and qualifications :
Completed vocational training in the field of transport, logistics, shipping, or a comparable commercial qualification
While some experience in logistics is preferred, we're also open to candidates with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Very good command of English (both verbal and written)
A positive approach to work, with the ability to deal with a lot of tasks and adapt to changing priorities
