Senior Data Analyst (f/m/d)

Did you know that in-app ads are sold in real-time auctions before they get rendered in thousands of mobile apps? Dozens of ad networks compete for every single view, choosing their best ad and deciding what price to bid in just a couple hundred milliseconds. At adjoe, we are building one of those ad networks, competing against giants like Google and Meta to present our ads to the right users. Whether you are an AdTech veteran or new to the industry, the challenge we face is equally compelling: managing over 10 billion predictions daily to balance advertiser goals, publisher expectations, and user experience.

The adjoe Ads Data Science team is the heart and brain of this operation. We don’t just analyze data; we build the core logic that drives our revenue. Leveraging technologies ranging from linear regression to state-of-the-art Deep Learning (GDCN), we manage the entire bidding lifecycle—including conversion prediction, user quality estimation, and bid shading.

We believe in self-built technology and rapid iteration. Our infrastructure allows us to test new ideas offline and launch A/B tests in production within minutes. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will work closely with our Data Scientists, analyzing user behavior and generating insights that help us improve our bidding strategy and shaping the algorithms that define the future of our business.

What you will do:

• Analyze usage patterns on the user level to spot inefficiencies of our bidding algorithm, derive new features and work hand in hand with our Data Scientists on improving the different machine learning models.
• Compare the real world with the way that the bidding algorithm models the world and guide the team in aligning both.
• Build dashboards and email reports to simplify the performance of the models for everyone.
• Become a contact person between the business teams and the Data Science team and help them translate requirements and ideas into products.
• Document your findings and communicate them to the team.
• Prepare calculations for A/B tests launches and analyze experiments results.
• Challenge and contribute to product-related decisions based on your insights.

Who you are:

• You have a degree in mathematics, physics, information technology, analytics, or a similar field.
• You have 5+ years’ of relevant experience, preferably in AdTech or mobile app companies.
• You’re excited to work with data and have experience in extracting business insights from it.
• You’re proficient in SQL.
• You have a strong knowledge of Python or R.
• You know how to perform statistical analyses (e.g. use hypothesis tests to evaluate A/B tests).
• You have an excellent understanding of data visualization and have experience building dashboards (e.g. QuickSight, MS PowerBI, Tableau, R Shiny, Streamlit) to showcase analysis results.
• You have experience in working with task-tracking tools (Jira, GitLab, etc).
