Your tasks
- Analysis of product and component requirements to derive specific automation engineering specifications, e.g. control system design, communication interfaces, safety or operating functions.
- Development, further development and selection of electronic components, e.g. PLC controllers, remote I/O, drive and control technology, sensors and industrial bus systems
- Conducting design analyses for products and components with a focus on PLC technology and related software
- Coordination of the development of individual components, including coordination with mechanics, software, systems engineering, suppliers and manufacturing.
- Implementation of component integration, including wiring, commissioning and verification of functions in the overall system
- Independent documentation and analysis of work results
- Creation of moderate hardware specifications and manufacturing documentation, including circuit diagrams, parts lists, terminal diagrams and test-relevant documentation.
Your profile
- Completed studies in electrical engineering, automation technology or information technology with initial professional experience
- Alternatively, completed vocational training in the field of electrical engineering, e.g. as an electronics technician for automation technology, with further training as a technician and several years of professional experience.
- Experience in programming, diagnostics and optimization of PLC systems (Siemens S7/TIA Portal, Beckhoff etc.)
- Knowledge of planning and development of automation systems as well as in the creation of circuit diagrams and hardware specifications.
- Experience in the construction and commissioning of automation systems
- Safe use of the MS Office suite
- Very good German and good English skills, both spoken and written.
- Team-oriented work style and ability to collaborate across disciplines
- Willingness to undertake occasional international and national business trips
- Working time model: 35 hours/week
