Your tasks

• Analysis of product and component requirements to derive specific automation engineering specifications, e.g. control system design, communication interfaces, safety or operating functions.
• Development, further development and selection of electronic components, e.g. PLC controllers, remote I/O, drive and control technology, sensors and industrial bus systems
• Conducting design analyses for products and components with a focus on PLC technology and related software
• Coordination of the development of individual components, including coordination with mechanics, software, systems engineering, suppliers and manufacturing.
• Implementation of component integration, including wiring, commissioning and verification of functions in the overall system
• Independent documentation and analysis of work results
• Creation of moderate hardware specifications and manufacturing documentation, including circuit diagrams, parts lists, terminal diagrams and test-relevant documentation.

Your profile

• Completed studies in electrical engineering, automation technology or information technology with initial professional experience
• Alternatively, completed vocational training in the field of electrical engineering, e.g. as an electronics technician for automation technology, with further training as a technician and several years of professional experience.
• Experience in programming, diagnostics and optimization of PLC systems (Siemens S7/TIA Portal, Beckhoff etc.)
• Knowledge of planning and development of automation systems as well as in the creation of circuit diagrams and hardware specifications.
• Experience in the construction and commissioning of automation systems
• Safe use of the MS Office suite
• Very good German and good English skills, both spoken and written.
• Team-oriented work style and ability to collaborate across disciplines
• Willingness to undertake occasional international and national business trips
• Working time model: 35 hours/week
