As our Account Manager, you’ll be leading the sales activity at key accounts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH region) whilst supporting Scott Bader distributors, in a professional and skillful manner.

As we continue our growth strategy, this role will have a particular emphasis on new business development of high added-value and profit potential activities whilst also ensuring these become long-term customer partnerships.

You’ll be utilising our full range of products & multiple technology manufacturing capabilities within the Scott Bader group, to deliver significant long-term profit and cash growth, working closely with marketing, technical, operations and market development teams as needed.

As part of this role, you will utilise your b2b sales expertise to deliver solutions to customers in the markets that we serve, aligning with Scott Bader's commitment to innovation.

Some of your key responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement commercial plans and strategies according to goals and objectives set by the Central and Eastern European Sales Manager.
  • To grow the Scott Bader Commercial business within the DACH region, maximising margin, market share and profitability by proactive marketing and field sales direction and support.
  • Work collaboratively with the manufacturing sites and product management to help ensure the correct balance is achieved between customer service, stock levels, optimum plant utilisation and manufacturing / operational costs.
  • You’ll play a full role in selected new product / business development / market teams, to ensure effective product launch and rapid margin generation from new product & market initiatives.
  • Lead the implementation of the speciality-focused sales strategy in the region, ensuring the delivery of strong speciality product sales growth through the development of a strong sales culture and skilled personnel.
  • You’ll be travelling across the DACH region, meeting a broad variety of customers.

What do I need to be successful in this role?

We would love you to be seasoned sales professional with a minimum of 5 years of industrial sales experience within b2b markets.

Bonus points if you come from a composites or adhesives industries and / or you have chemical education.

  • You have effective verbal and written communication skills in both German and English language.
  • Knowledge and experience of major or key account management with the ability to think strategically across a matrix organisation.
  • You will have demonstrable ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • You have a strong awareness of the demands of meeting Sales / Export / Logistics schedules whilst complying with all appropriate legislation.
  • Experience of effectively reviewing and interpreting diverse and complex data producing meaningful outcomes
