An Application Engineer is a key person who combines technical expertise and customer focus to provide innovative solutions and implement our products efficiently.
In this role, you will apply and develop measurement techniques to optimize and validate electric powertrains and support customers and internal teams. This is crucial for quality assurance and increasing testing efficiency in the research and development of electric drives (for vehicles and industrial applications). You will be part of the application team, which is also continuously developing in the field of combustion measurement technology, optical combustion diagnostics and flow measurement technology. As a link between test bench and development engineers you ensure the best possible measurement technology solution.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Implementation and validation of measurement systems for analyzing electric powertrains and interpreting signals
Data analysis and plausibility check of measured values as well as development of algorithms for evaluation and optimization of the drive
Close cooperation with interdisciplinary development teams, integration of user knowledge into product development, as well as customer support and ensuring their requirements for the measurement systems
Identification and resolution of technical problems and contribution of solution proposals to improve measurement accuracy (3rd level support)
Creating and maintaining technical documentation and test reports, as well as contributing to publications and training
Actively contributing to the further development of measurement technologies and methods
Planning and conducting laboratory or test bench tests to verify the performance and efficiency of measurement technology on electric powertrains or similar industrial applications (e.g. aviation, grid analysis, etc.)
YOUR PROFILE
Completed education (technical university, university of applied sciences or similar) with a focus on electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics or a comparable study program
At least 3 years of professional experience in the development of electric powertrains
In-depth knowledge in the field of high-voltage and power electronics as well as experience in the development of electric powertrains
Experience with measuring instruments and methods such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, data acquisition systems
Ability to work in a team, strong communication skills
Very good knowledge of German and English
Willingness to travel for business up to 25 percent
WE OFFER
Annual Remuneration : Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation : EUR52,300.00. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
