About the role...

Under the supervision of the hierarchical manager, the HVAC Maintenance Technician is responsible for the management and coordination of maintenance in the following areas : energy production and distribution systems, fluid and gas distribution systems, sanitary installations, electrical installations, and fire safety systems.

Maintenance and troubleshooting of technical installations are carried out in collaboration with various external service providers.

This on-call position is based in Belval and requires regular travel to Luxembourg City and the southern region of Luxembourg.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and oversee the preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC installations (heating, ventilation, air conditioning)
  • Monitor, adjust, and fine-tune equipment and intervene, when necessary, on installations under their responsibility (first-level maintenance)
  • Provide expertise and technical assistance for interventions of varying complexity, as well as for projects or work tasks
  • Anticipate risks of breakdowns and malfunctions
  • Analyze failures and propose appropriate technical solutions
  • Ensure compliance with current regulations (quality, safety, environment)
  • Support and implement a multitechnical maintenance contract
  • Supervise regulatory inspections conducted by service providers contracted by the University
  • Support the team as needed
  • Participate in restoring accommodations in the relevant field
  • Stay updated on innovations in the relevant field
  • Provide regular reporting and maintain effective communication with various stakeholders
  • Perform routine administrative tasks
  • Participate in on-call duties

Your profile...

  • Holder of a BTS / DUT in HVAC maintenance or a BAC PRO / DT in HVAC with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar role
  • Valid Category B driver's license required
  • Team spirit and ability to synthesize
  • Strong knowledge of the principles of operation and regulation of heating, air conditioning, sanitary, and ventilation systems
  • Proficiency in reading plans, diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French (C1 minimum level). Proficiency in English, Luxembourgish, or German is an advantage
  • General knowledge across "all trades" related to building operations is an asset
  • A valid BT-H / V (A) electrical certification is also an asset
