Electrical Systems Engineer
We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for an Electrical Systems Engineer within our global engineeringteam to help support our Home Furniture business.

As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will lead the design, integration, and testing of electrical components and systems for new product development across our home furnishings brands.
This position allows you to grow your expertise across disciplines while working on cutting-edge products. You will collaborate globally with cross functional partners to bring designs from concept to commercialization.
So, what will you be doing as an Electrical Systems Engineer?
- Gather component requirements, define via drawings and technical documents
- Communicate requirements internally and externally with cross-functional teams
- Drive component and system validation tests to ensure features and quality
- Define validation procedures and tools as needed
- Record, document, and communicate validation results
- Execute component design release processes including drawings / design releases
- Support released products via cost reduction, quality improvements, engineering changes
- Research and investigate cutting edge technologies to drive innovative products / processes
To be successful in this role, you’ll need :
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic / Electrical Engineering
- 2+ years of electronics / electrical engineering experience
- Expertise in analog / digital circuitry, schematics, and datasheets
- Experience with electrical test equipment like multimeters, power supplies, and oscilloscopes
- Proficiency in electrical CAD tools such as Altium and / or Cadence
- Strong collaboration skills to interface across teams and with external partners
- Working knowledge of global electronics suppliers and supply chains
- Basic programming skills in Python and / or C++ (a plus)
- Excellent technical communication abilities, both written and verbal and fluent in English
- Ability to validate solutions via data-driven, quantifiable methods
- Skilled at creating test plans, methods and validation systems
- Adept at devising solutions from defined requirements
