Your mission is to turn operational complexity into competitive advantage for Siemens Energy’s Grid Technologies. Functioning as a lead project manager for operational excellence, you will take full ownership of end-to-end process redesigns—from the whiteboard to the shop floor. You will dismantle inefficiencies, engineer lean, digital-first workflows, and secure buy-in across the matrix. This is a role for a hands-on strategist ready to lead major initiatives and deliver measurable bottom-line impact without the administrative constraints of line management.
We are targeting candidates to work at GT locations in the UK, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania or Hungary.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Architect Operational Strategy : Lead high-priority improvement projects with full autonomy. Translate high-level business goals into actionable operational strategies, ensuring seamless delivery from strategy through execution.
- Drive End-to-End Transformation : Go beyond simple process mapping. Conduct rigorous Value Stream Assessments to identify and eliminate inefficiencies, rebuilding lean, agile workflows that enhance EBITDA and accelerate delivery.
- Lead Digitalization & Industry Serve as the connector between business needs and technology capabilities. Identify high-value use cases for RPA, Process Mining, and Intelligent Automation to create a “Smart Operations” ecosystem.
- Governance & Sustainability : Design and implement robust KPI frameworks and governance structures to ensure improvements become the new standard, not isolated initiatives.
- Strategic Change Management : Anticipate and address resistance by turning skeptics into advocates. Develop and execute advanced change management, communication, and coaching strategies to drive adoption across diverse stakeholder groups.
What You Bring
Excellent academic background in Engineering, Business, or Operations Management; an MBA or Master’s degree is desirableExtensive experience, ideally within a top-tier management consulting firm (, Operations / Implementation practice) or in a specialized operational excellence role within a complex industrial environment.Proven ability to lead large-scale projects without direct line authority, with strong skills in influencing senior stakeholders and driving cross-functional teams toward shared objectives.Deep expertise in Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), Value Stream Mapping, and BPMN, with the ability to apply these tools pragmatically to solve complex, ambiguous challenges.Experience with the “Digital Thread” and familiarity with Process Mining (, Celonis), Low-Code automation, or data visualization tools (PowerBI / Tableau) is highly desirable.
