We are seeking a talented, motivated and passionate environmental sustainability individual to join the strategy team within our global sustainability consulting group.
The primary function of this role is to conduct and manage climate change and broader sustainability projects of a strategic nature, mainly at corporate level and at the intersection between product and corporate sustainability.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Deliver corporate consulting / advisory services, in particular in the areas of carbon accounting, management & strategy, including but not limited to TCFD, SBT, CDP, NetZero;
- sustainability strategy and reporting (e.g., GRI, SASB) and ESG;
- Manage projects of all sizes on time and budget and with happy clients and happy teams;
- Preparing and presenting project results in PowerPoint or other formats;
- Maintain a high level of quality in proposals and deliverables, and ensure quality assurance according to Sphera’s QA processes;
- Outreach to companies and institutions to support and grow their sustainability programs;
- Co-develop sustainable solutions with our clients, enabled by Sphera’s software and consulting offerings;
- Lead all aspects of a sales cycle, from offer development to project kick-off; and
- Maintain key relationships and accounts, facilitating the development of our client’s sustainability programs.
Key skills and experience
- A positive can-do attitude;
- 5+ years of relevant experience;
- Tertiary degree in engineering, science, or related field;
- Solid background in, and passion for sustainability, life cycle thinking, carbon accounting and management, reporting, target setting and strategy development;
- Experience in project management;
- Proven experience in corporate sustainability consulting;
- Strong oral and written communication skills in German and English; Italian or French an advantage;
- Ability to sell and support sales by scoping solutions to meet customer challenges;
