WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • You will be responsible in the team of the General Counsel for Europe / CIS for the coordination of legal and compliance tasks between Panasonic Europe Legal & Compliance and the overall organization in Europe and the Group companies in Japan
  • Also you will be responsible for setting up the central interface between the legal and compliance organization in Europe and the group companies in Japan
  • As project coordinator, you will also lead and coordinate specific projects between the head office and the organization in Japan and Panasonic Europe / CIS, such as the implementation of group-wide legal and compliance initiatives in the region
  • Together with our European and Japanese organization, you will define improvements for legal and compliance and provide legal and compliance advice on specific matters
  • Organizing trips to Japan, regular meetings with headquarters and companies in Japan including preparation of content, conferences and team meetings in the area of legal and compliance are also part of your responsibilities
  • You will also be responsible for certain legal and compliance projects as well as compliance training and monitoring with Japanese management in the region and expats
  • Finally, you will keep an eye on legal planning by managing costs, external lawyers and continuous reporting

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • You have a legal education (university degree at Master's level) and at least 4 years of legal and compliance experience
  • Ideally, you have already worked as an internal legal counsel in a Japanese company
  • You are fluent in Japanese and English
  • You have excellent communication and coordination skills as well as strong time and project management skills
  • The ability to work independently, in an organized and structured manner and a willingness to travel regularly round off your profile
