YOUR MISSION

We're looking for a Tech Lead who acts as the primary technical counterpart to our Head of Product. This is a  high-impact, hands-on role (70%+ coding)  designed for a seasoned engineer who loves the craft of building software as much as the "why" behind product decisions. You will bridge the gap between product discovery and technical execution, ensuring our roadmap is ambitious yet technically sound.

You'll report directly to our CTO and work as the voice of engineering in product discussions. As we scale, you'll have the opportunity to build and lead a small team of engineers who will report to you.

What you’ll do as our Tech Lead (m / f / d)

Product Partnership :   Collaborate daily with the Head of Product to translate vision into a robust technical roadmap. You'll be engineering's voice in product discovery.

AI-Native Development :   Pioneer AI-native workflows, leveraging AI tools to accelerate team velocity. Lead the charge in integrating LLMs, agents, and automation into the Sastrify platform.

Hands-On Execution :   Lead by example. Write high-quality, production-ready code across the full stack (React / Node.js). Tackle the most complex technical challenges yourself.

Technical Evolution :   Evolve our full-stack architecture pragmatically, ensuring our environment remains performant and cost-effective as we scale.

Technical Feasibility :   Evaluate new feature requests for technical risk and effort. Provide high-level estimates and alternative paths to achieve business goals.

Data & Integration Strategy :   Drive the technical strategy for integrating with diverse, high-volume customer data sources, ensuring robust data ingestion, reliability, and architectural transparency to deliver maximum user value.

DevOps Excellence :   Advocate for and implement best practices in IaC (Terraform) and CI / CD. Keep deployment cycles fast and reliable.

Mentorship & Quality :   Drive technical excellence through deep code reviews, pair programming, and setting standards for documentation and testing.

Our Tech Stack

Front-End :   TypeScript, React.js, React Query, Storybook

Back-End :   Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL (via TypeORM)

Infrastructure :   Serverless Framework, AWS Lambda, Terraform

AI / LLM :   AI SDK, LangChain.js, Agents SDK for building AI-native features

Workflow :   Fully automated CI / CD with daily production deployments

REQUIREMENTS

Experience :   8+ years in software development, with 3+ years in a senior or staff-level role within a high-growth SaaS environment

Full-Stack Mastery :   Expert-level TypeScript / Node.js / React. Equally comfortable optimizing a React component and debugging a PostgreSQL query

Cloud-Native :   Deep AWS Serverless experience (Lambda, EventBridge, etc.) and Terraform

Product Fluency :   You think in user value, not just code. You can explain complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders

Execution Focus :   Proven track record taking products from concept to production at scale

Communication :   Fluent English and the ability to influence without formal authority

• Remote (EMEA, GMT±2) | Ideally DACH region with occasional Cologne office presence
