Service Engineer

General Summary :

We are looking for a motivated and skilled In-house Service Technician to join our Wessling Service Center. The Service Technician will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of BTG equipment used in pulp, graphic, packaging, and tissue manufacturing processes. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role with a strong focus on mechanical (60%), electrical / electronic (25%), and computing / software (15%) tasks.

The Service Technician will play a key role in ensuring that equipment is restored to operational conditions quickly, safely, and to the highest quality standards, supporting our internal teams and contributing to customer satisfaction. ​

Responsibilities :

• Customer Satisfaction : Ensure ultimate internal and external customer satisfaction during every service interaction ​
• Technical Services : Starting with incoming goods control, perform inspection, cost estimate, mechanical / electronic maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and repairs for BTG's high-tech online analyzers, sensors, and lab equipment. Conduct software upgrades, firmware installation, and equipment configuration using diagnostics tools. Final acceptance test and preparation for shipment. ​
• Warehouse Management spare part handling for in-house repairs as well as for field service support.​
• Technical Assistance : Provide technical support via phone and E-Mail as needed and occasional training for our customers and internal EMEA sales and service team. ​
• Reporting : Accurately document services and key information using computer-based reporting systems. ​
• Continuous improvement : Support internal 5S initiatives and work closely with field service operation and product manager to support continuous improvement.
• Responsible for own personal safety, the safety of the team and those around you.
• Work in accordance with and enforce compliance with all BTG policies (ex : Safety, Code of Conduct, Commercial Policy, Security Policy and Export Compliance) to maintain BTG reputation and image.
