(Senior) Data Platform Engineer

Role Overview :
The Senior Platform Engineer will be a pivotal member of the data & analytics engineering team, responsible for leading and executing key project initiatives to transform the organization internally.
This role requires a deep understanding of Azure, DevOps practices, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of data platform infrastructure on Azure, with a strong focus on Azure Data Lake and Databricks.
- Drive the adoption of DevOps practices and principles across the data engineering team
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate and streamline data infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Collaborates with data scientists, data engineers, and product owners to define, design, and deliver innovative data solutions.
- Mentors and guides junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on Azure .
- B2 or Fluent in German
- Proven experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI / CD pipelines.
- Strong proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Code : Python, SQL
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives from concept to completion.
