Senior Technical Artist
Game Path is working with a cutting-edge simulation racing development company based in Germany, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of realism and immersion in racing games.
We are seeking a Senior Technical Artist (Unreal) to join the team as they continue to scale.
The role is permanent and fully remote - with the individual being based in Germany.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Unreal Engine and a passion for creating visually stunning and engaging gameplay experiences.
The Senior Technical Artist will work closely with the development team to create and implement high-quality assets and special effects, as well as troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during the development process.
Responsibilities :
- Create and implement high-quality assets and special effects using the Unreal Engine
- Work with the development team to ensure the technical and artistic integrity of the game
- Troubleshoot and solve technical issues as they arise
- Work with the art team to define and implement technical pipelines and workflows
- Collaborate with other departments, such as design and programming, to ensure that all assets meet the game's technical and artistic requirements
- Mentor and train junior technical artists
- Keep abreast of new technologies and advancements in the game industry to continuously improve the quality of the game
Qualifications :
- Strong experience with the Unreal Engine and its associated tools
- Strong understanding of game development pipelines and workflows
- Strong knowledge of 3D modeling, texturing, and animation
- Strong knowledge of particle effects, shaders, and other real-time special effects
- Strong knowledge of performance optimization techniques
- Strong knowledge of game development best practices
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A portfolio demonstrating relevant experience and skills
- Experience with console development is a plus
- Strong knowledge of C++ or other programming languages is a plus
