Your role and responsibilities

Looking for a taste of working life in an international, future-focused corporate group? Then join us as an intern (m / f / d) and familiarise yourself with a suitable department for 3 to 6 months. You will be involved in large-scale projects and perform a defined set of duties independently. Use your internship to build a network and become familiar with our company. The following tasks and responsibilities will be part of your role :

  • You are interested in the domain of data analytics, machine learning, numerical simulation, or process simulation.
  • You will work on data analytics for industrial applications or development of numerical simulation for process automation.
  • You will develop mainly python packages for industrial use cases, with minor C++ / C# implementation.
  • Close collaboration with our scientists, you will help to design, analyze, and test our software prototypes and algorithms.
  • We expect that you show above-average motivation to develop demonstrators and software prototypes and proactiveness to come up with new concepts and ideas on how to overcome possible challenges.
  • You might also develop python-based web applications for demonstrating the algorithms and results.

Qualifications for the role

  • Enrolled in a Master's program in Natural Sciences (e.g., Mathematics, Physics) or Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Informatics).
  • Strong programming skills in Python and shell scripting.
  • Experience with machine learning libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, Pandas, NumPy).
  • Familiar with Git, Linux systems, and shell scripting.
  • Basic knowledge of Matlab / Simulink and C++ / C#.
  • Nice to have : Experience with Java / JavaScript and Azure Cloud Services.
  • Fluent English (spoken & written); German is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
