We play an instrumental role in Europe by fueling innovation through research partnerships with industry, boosting R&D investments leading to economic growth, and attracting highly qualified talent. We look for researchers from diverse academic backgrounds to contribute to our projects in areas such as : Network Security, Information Assurance, Model-driven Security, Cloud Computing, Cryptography, Satellite Systems, Vehicular Networks, and ICT Services & Applications.

Your role

Successful candidates will join the new Systems and Network Security Group led by Prof. Vincent Lenders . They will contribute to cutting-edge research in communication security and perform the following tasks :

  • Research : Conduct scientific research to advance the field of wireless and wired communication on problems related to the physical and MAC layers
  • Technology transfer : Work with industrial and governmental partners to transfer the group's research results into functional prototypes and technology demonstrators for uses cases in critical infrastructures
  • Education : Contribute in the teaching activities of the University's Cybersecurity Master program and supervise Master students
  • Dissemination : Present your research results at scientific conferences, journals and technology events.

Your profile

The candidate should have :

  • A MSc degree (or equivalent) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science
  • Interest in security research and / or security engineering
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary research environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Language Requirements :
