About the Role

As a Lead Individual Contributor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our backend systems and driving technical excellence. This is a high-impact position for a technical expert who thrives on solving complex problems and leading by example, without direct people management responsibilities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Architect and Build : Design, develop, and optimize backend systems that power a secure, scalable, and user-friendly platform used by millions across Europe.
  • Lead by Example : Set high standards in code quality, testing, and best practices, guiding your team with technical expertise and mentorship.
  • Solve Complex Problems : Take on some of the most challenging technical issues, working across the entire lifecycle of features, from idea to deployment.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally : Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineering teams to deliver impactful features.

Who You Are

  • Experienced Engineer : 8+ years of backend engineering experience, with a strong foundation in Java, Kotlin, or other JVM languages.
  • Technical Leader : Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and deliver high-quality results, with an emphasis on reliability and efficiency.
  • Domain Expertise : Familiarity with cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, and microservices is a must.
  • Fintech Background (Preferred) : Experience in financial services or investment platforms is a strong advantage.
  • Growth Mindset : A passion for continuous learning, and willingness to mentor junior developers and peers alike.
