The Consumer Entertainment Development Team of Dolby Germany in Nuremberg is looking for an intern to extend its Software Testing HW platform, allowing Software development teams to execute automated tests on different embedded boards, such as RaspberryPi. This internship offers you the perfect chance for ramping up on state-of-the-art technology in hardware and software in an inspiring and supportive working environment. It comprises the following tasks :

  • Build up hardware platform (consisting of a housing box, a Netgear PoE switch, several embedded boards)
  • Setup and configure embedded boards (install Linux OS+packages, enable accessibility within internal network)
  • Configure PoE switch
  • Develop an easy-to-use control of the PoE switch (cmd line based or web frontend)

Qualifications

  • Student of Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar
  • First experiences in scripting language : python
  • First experiences in setting up / working with embedded HW platforms (for example RaspberryPi)
  • Basic knowledge in Linux OS and computer networks
  • Good Communication skills in English, written and verbally
  • Nice to have :

  • First experiences in Git or other Software Version Control system
