Job Title : Business Development Manager (DACH Region)
Reports To : General Manager
Department : Microporous Insulation Sales
Business Development Manager Job Purpose :
The role is focused on the sales of Siltherm Groups microporous insulation products into high and low temperature applications within the DACH and Central European region
Development and delivery of the sales and margin budgets in order to fulfil Siltherm Group strategic goals, leading efforts to establish sustainable, profitable growth opportunities.
You will be primarily obtaining new clients and fostering business relationships to increase revenue from sales. It is anticipated that this role requires approximately 75% of the time commitment to Business Development, the balance being contained within the Account Management activities for the sales region.
Regions served being Germany, Austria, Switzerland & Central Europe where business requires. The ideal candidate will already live in the DACH region
Knowledge, Skills, Experience :
1.At least 3 years relevant sales experience gained ideally in a sales and marketing environment for technical products. Familiar with specification, sales management, marketing and customer service processes.
2.You will have a specialist insulation product background with microporous insulation knowledge being highly advantageous
3.Demonstrable experience of selling product into High Temperature Insulation markets, Vacuum Insulation Panel markets - particularly Construction and specialist OEM’s
4.Good communicator (English language essential) recognizing the difference in style required across the range of customer groups and internal peer groups
5.Good networking skills with all stakeholders
6.IT literate with good communication skills both verbally and in writing. Proactive in raising potential threats to the business and providing practical options for their resolution.
7.Probably educated to degree level with good technical understanding.
8.Proven sales record, negotiation and leadership skills are a prerequisite.
9.Ability to work autonomously
Key Accountabilities
1. Find new customers and promote sales to them.
2. Follow up on customer leads.
3. In association with the General Manager and Sales Administration team, develop and manage the sales function to provide the highest levels of customer support.
4. In association with the General Manager, manage the Sales / Specification process to ensure that customers understand the product offerings both technically and commercially in order to forge long-term, sustainable and profitable, relationships.
5. Establish and develop strategic partners / key accounts in line with annual business plans.
6. Provide support and guidance on pricing and delivery issues to maintain the commercial integrity of the business in terms of maintaining the balance of customer satisfaction versus customer expectation.and profitability.
7. Develop and operate management reporting systems to provide accurate and timely key performance indicators on Specification, Sales Volume and Contribution from within Quickbooks
8. In association with the General Manager, establish and develop a framework which recognises new business opportunities in emerging markets where niche products and systems provide potential for growth.
9. In association with the General Manager, build an awareness of market and competitor trends and drivers.
10. In association with the General Manager, prepare annual budgets together with business plans for Siltherm Europe in regional business areas and segments.
