Job Overview

As a Senior Consultant focusing on Technical Communication and Information Management , you will drive client engagements, optimize processes, and enhance IT system landscapes in collaboration with the project and implementation teams. This position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of XML, W3C standards, and project management, who can work in agile environments and has experience in knowledge and information management, ideally in a consulting role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain continuous client contact in close coordination with project management and implementation teams.
  • Identify optimization opportunities and create solution scenarios alongside clients.
  • Select, implement, and further develop clients' IT systems, especially in technical information.
  • Create process, metadata, and information models for applications such as Component Content Management Systems, Content Delivery Portals , and knowledge graph-based applications.
  • Lead and moderate workshops to gather client needs and define solution pathways.
  • Utilize agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to drive successful project outcomes.

Essental Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Informatics, Information Management, Natural Sciences , or a related field.
  • Essential skills include XML , project management experience, and familiarity with W3C standards .
  • Basic scripting / programming skills (nice-to-have).
  • Strong analytical and process-oriented thinking with experience in system architecture .
  • Experience in mechanical engineering and plant construction is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years in knowledge and information management, ideally within consulting for technical communication.
  • Strong communication, active listening, solution-oriented, assertive, team leadership, and customer orientation skills.
  • German (C2) and English (C1) proficiency are mandatory.
