Responsibilities
- Perform calibration and verification of electrical measurement instruments (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers) according to established procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical measurement equipment to ensure accurate and consistent results.
- Develop and implement calibration schedules to meet DAkkS accreditation requirements.
- Prepare and maintain calibration documentation, including certificates and reports.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and compliance teams to ensure adherence to standards and regulations.
- Participate in proficiency testing and inter-laboratory comparisons.
- Conduct uncertainty analysis and contribute to measurement uncertainty budgets.
- Manage the DAkkS accreditation process, including documentation, audits, and corrective actions.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and changes in metrology standards.
- Train and mentor junior metrology staff.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to metrology processes.
Qualifications required :
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical metrology.Proficiency in using calibration software and measurement tools.Knowledge of ISO / IEC 17025 and DAkkS accreditation requirements.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy.DAkkS accreditation as a calibration laboratory technician (desired).Working Environment : The Electrical Metrologist will work in a laboratory setting, collaborating with engineers, technicians, and quality professionals. The role may involve 20% - 30% travel for audits and training.
