ELLIS (European Laboratory for Learning andIntelligent Systems) is a European AI network of excellence. Itfocuses on fundamental science, technical innovation, and societalimpact and counts 43 ELLIS sites in 17 countries, 16 ELLIS researchprograms, and a pan-European PhD program.
ELLIS brings togetherleading scientists engaged in the research fields of machinelearning and modern AI. ELLIS is co-funded by the Tübingen AICenter, one of five German national centers of excellence forresearch on artificial intelligence.
Communications Manager forELLIS (m / f / div) As a member of the ELLIS Administration andCommunications Area, you will : Contribute to the development andimplementation of the ELLIS communication strategy Plan andimplement communication activities for internal and externalstakeholders and communicate to them via different channels such asthe website, social media, and the newsletter Collect, structure,and disseminate scientific key data and information from the ELLISnetwork to promote the scientific impact of ELLIS Prepare reports,web articles, and presentations about the activities and thescientific output of the ELLIS network Maintain close relationshipswith ELLIS sites and research programs distributed across Europe tostay up to date on their scientific achievements and to keep theminformed about communication activities Completed scientific highereducation (master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent) and an interest inmodern AI;
technical knowledge is a bonus Professional experiencein science communications is an asset; we expect very good commandof both English and German (at least C1 level) Very strongmanagement and organizational skills Great interpersonal andcommunication skills You will work closely and collaboratively withscientists, research coordinators, PR officers, students,programmers, administrative staff, IT support, and centralscientific facilities to help achieve the goals of the ELLISinitiative.
