We are lookingfor a Scientist in model-based purification development who ispassionate about applying and advancing a world leading simulationsoftware for the development of biopharmaceutical productionprocesses to join our team in Karlsruhe, Germany. As a Scientist ,you will be working together with the GoSilico team in Karlsruhe,Germany, and the Bioprocess R&D team in Uppsala Sweden.Specifically, you will develop and showcase new applications formodel-based purification development for our internationalcustomers in the area of Biopharma research, development andmanufacturing. This is a temporary position opened for 3years.

Inthis role, you will have the opportunity to :

Performing appliedresearch in the field of bioprocessdevelopment

Find accurateand performant mechanistic models for downstream purificationprocesses, in particular for different modalities ofchromatographic separation and various moleculeformats

Work with internaland external teams on development projects as well as conductindependent research

SupportGoSilico’s Customer Success team in scientificdiscussions

Publication ofresults in scientific articles and presentation at scientificconferences in the field ofbiomanufacturing

Theessential requirements of the job include :

PhD degree inbiotechnology, bioprocess / biomedical engineering, physics, appliedmathematics or relatedsciences

In depth knowledgeof downstream process development, chromatography, resins andprotein analytics

A solidexperience and understanding of mathematic models andphysical / chemicalfundamentals

Strongpresentation, scientific writing and communicationskills

Proficient in English(oral andwriting)

Itwould be a plus if you also possess previous experiencein :

Mechanisticmodeling of chromatography or related separationtechnologies

Programming inC++, Python, Matlab orsimilar
