We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied internship in the area of Battery Cell Development. Our department stands for the development of the next generation of battery cells for our electric vehicles. We are responsible for the development of the cells regarding properties, materials, and specifications. We also work on prototype battery cells in collaboration with pilot production.

What awaits you?

As part of your job, you will support us in developing, validating, and verifying prototype battery cells.
Your area of responsibility includes the independent preparation, execution, and evaluation of development tests.
To do this, you will supervise and optimize test benches and laboratory tests at cell or sub-component level.
You will help our team build instrumented cells and gain insights into the individual production steps of pilot production.
Involvement in day-to-day operations rounds off your exciting internship.

What should you bring along?

Studied engineering, mechanical engineering, materials engineering, physical engineering, electrical engineering / mechatronics, chemical engineering, or a comparable degree program.

Second half bachelor's degree or master's degree.

First experience with battery cells / battery storage / electric mobility desirable.

Fluent German and English skills.

Class B driving license.

Personal initiative.

Team and communication skills.
